Holiday Cottages On the Border

Borders Country Cottages

So often overlooked by people speeding north to Edinburgh and the Highlands & Islands trying to find “The real Scotland”…. Well you will find it all right here in The Scottish Borders. The simple fact that the majority of people don’t stop is what keeps it so special. The roads are quiet, the views are uninterrupted, the people friendly and they have time for you.

We have it all – Stately homes. Floors Castle, Bowhill, Mellerstain (to name a few) and Abbotsford the home of Sir Walter Scott. A land so beautiful it inspired him and others like James Hogg, also known as “The Ettrick Shepherd”, to pen their great works.

The Scottish Borders remain largely unspoilt and breathtakingly beautiful. A playground for hillwalkers and cyclists with the stunning Lammermuir hills to the north and the wild Cheviot Hills bordering England to the south. Walk the Abbeys way or the Pennine Way and visit Jedburgh, Drybrugh, Melrose and Kelso. World class fishing on the famous River Tweed and its tributaries. Award winning golf courses, unspoilt sandy beaches, and did I mention Whisky? We have that here too….

Bartlehill

The views from this very comfortable cottage are far reaching and uninterrupted across the rolling Scottish Borders countryside, with the Cheviot Hills as a magnificent backdrop in the distance. Bartlehill is a semi-detached traditional farm cottage set on a private road, in a quiet rural area between Kelso and Coldstream. A great location to explore the area. It is a peaceful and cosy bolt hole to come back to and spend time with family and friends. Really well equipped. High quality linen and bedding. Wood burning stove. Games room. It’s pet- friendly so you can bring your dog too!
